Michael will collect same prior to next meeting. Betty’s contact, Ross Mackie, has given quote of $122.50 + GST per sign. All info will be considered and a decision will be made at the next meeting. Michael will contact Dio. School about the sizing of their signs!
Music: Further to last month…. Hoskin family ‘Double Image’ are just re-establishing themselves. They would play for approx $800. Vicky and Caroline will try to attend a gig to hear them. Shaun Lucca is another possibility. Again all to be finally considered next month,
Letter head: Michael still in process
Photos: Michael showed a sample. We will work on a 14 X10 in size at $25. Cost could be $20, however we will work on higher amount.
Liquor Licence: Cost of $63. Only needs 6 weeks to process, so that can be left at this stage.
Community Board Application: They would like a rough budget to accompany the form. David G will handle that. Finance: Total funds to date $700 Rotary Club of Cambridge $500 Grant Karapiro School $200
Registration Forms: David had downloaded some forms to look at layout etc. We will look to having forms for Expressions of Interest with a $25 pre- registration fee. This can be advertised on the website for those with access. Previous attendees to be invited personally. Michael drew our attention to the recent passing of past pupils. Noeline Johansen ex Taotaroa, Aileen Duncan ex Whitehall and John Grayling ex Karapiro Hydro. Gloria Graham has been in contact with Kevin regarding the Jubilee cake. Decided to ask for 3 X 12 inch square cakes. A new cloth will be made if the old one can’t be found! Caroline W , Kerryanne, Vicky and Shona are going to meet at Karapiro School on Tuesday 15th Sept at 9am, to type up lists from Centennial register. This can be updated and addresses added where possible. Once we have a list of people, a programme can then be put together in readiness for sending out.
General Business: Barbara is still working on sorting Karapiro School photos. We will need Admission Books from the schools to compile lists of newer pupils. Fonterra has declined offering cheeses for the Friday evening. Kerryanne will talk to Crean Foods to see if they could help out. By the next meeting Transpower should have made decisions about their grants. Moved by Kevin that we accept David G as Secretary for the next 2 meetings in Deb’s absence. Our next meetings are to be important as we need to make decisions on ; Signs and Music. Then our Programme can be designed and printed! Next Meeting will be Oct 15th. Later due to School Holidays. Then again, as usual, first Thursday in November. Nov 5th. Meeting closed 8pm New web address… KWTJubilee.co.nz Continue reading
