Matters Arising:
Small correction to be made on web address on Registration form. Michael is correcting that.
Jubilee Cake: This is made. It is 3 X 12 inch cakes, approx 3inches high. This will give us a longer strip to go around cake for children to decorate.
Cloth: Embroidery is done.
Security: Kevin has checked and they are organised.
Splashy: Tiles are not the price we thought as that was a school special. Even at a higher price, we decided to go ahead and offer them to attendees. The committee will get 2 done to commemorate the event and they can be used as samples.
Moved Justin 2nd David G
Signs; Kevin reported that the sign in front of the Country Store was stolen over the Easter weekend.
Publicity: Radio Networks has the notice and it has been announced already. That will be countrywide coverage.
Sponsorship: Craig has secured 2 verbal agreements for Friday evening. He is waiting for those to be given in writing. He is also negotiating with other businesses for the Saturday events.
Licence: Justin is to collect the Bar Manager’s form this coming week. Kevin will then take it to council.
Marquee: Grant form ready to be sent off.
McEntee not concerned about a deposit at this stage.
Name Tags: Printech will do 500 cards for $115. Barbara suggested we use wider ribbon stapled on rather than narrow through holes. Deb will look into ribbon.
Registration: This is becoming urgent!
We have the lists from the Centennial. Anyone who is available is meeting at Karapiro School this coming Monday 26th, to go through names and find addresses so forms can be sent out ASAP. We will then move on to people from the last 25 years.
Meeting closed 8.15pm
Next Meeting Thursday May 6th 7pm
IMPORTANT: Anybody with time to help, or information about past residents’ addresses is asked to help at the school on Monday morning from 9am -12noon. We will have a second session on Monday evening for anybody who is unavailable through the day. 7 – 9 pm.
